Leh, March 31: Deputy Commissioner (DC)/Chairman, District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM), Leh, Shrikant Suse today convened a meeting to review the ongoing work under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Leh district.

District Superintending Engineer, Leh, apprised Chairman DWSM of the progress on the preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) under JJM for the year 2021-22. DC, Leh directed SE and XEN PHE for the early completion of remaining DPRs. He also reviewed the progress made on works approved for the year 2020-21.

He also reviewed the progress on the functioning of District-level NABL laboratory to test water quality, purchase of materials and equipment for the lab and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) training to the lab attendants by the Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD), Delhi, monitoring of the third-party, work done by Implementation Support Agencies (ISAs) and the need to revise the annual action plan.

DSE PWD Leh, Executive Engineer, PHE Department; Chief Planning Officer, District Agriculture Officer, representatives from ISA and other concerned officials participated in the meeting.
