BSF Recovers Arms, Ammunition, Narcotics, Counterfeit Cash along IB in Akhnoor

Jammu: Border Security Forces Monday said to have made recovery of arms, ammunition, narcotics besides counterfeit cash along International Border in Akhnoor sector in Jammu division.

A BSF spokesperson told GNS that a bag was found hidden in thick grass. “On opening, it (bag) was found containing four pistols, eight magazines, 25 rounds, one packet filled with narcotics (likely Heroin) weighing about 01 kg along with FICN worth Rs.2,75,000/- was also found inside the bag,” the spokesperson said.

Searches have been intensified in and around the area following the recovery of the incriminating material, he further said. (GNS)
