October : Bandipora police continuing its series of events under Police Flag Day -2022 by commemorating Martyrs of J&K police today organised 3rd Edition of “Martyr Raja Saleem Anwar” Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at SK Stadium Bandipora.The tournament will be played on knock out basis in which 33 cricket teams of district Bandipora will participate.The inaugural ceremony was attended by ADGP Kashmir Zone Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shri Owais Ahmad -IAS ,SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmad Zahid -JKPS ,CO 14 & 26 RR Army, Addl. SP Bandipora Shri Ashiq Hussain Tak -JKPS ,DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shafat Mohmad-JKPS, DYSP DAR Bandipora Ishfaq Alam and other senior officers of Police, Army, CAPF, Civil Administration and other dignitaries.The inaugural match was played between the teams of District Police Bandipora & BCC Bandipora.
Speaking on the occasion ADGP Kashmir Zone Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS said it has always been the top priority of J&K police to provide better platform to the youth interested in sports and other activities.The ADGP further said that police will continue to engage the youth in different sports activities besides doing their hand holding in academics and equip them with better skills , so that they will excel in their fields of interest.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by a large gathering of sports lovers, general public and students of various educational institutions of the district.After the conclusion of the event a rank ceremony was also held at DPL Bandipora , in which newly promoted police officials were decorated with ranks and the officers congratulated them and their families and impressed upon them to work with same hardwork & honesty during the rest of their service.
