Srinagar: Police has registered a case of attempt to murder against eleven persons, for attacking employees of forest department Bandipora, at police station Bandipora, during which at least half a dozen employees were injured.
Sources from forest department told CNS that in the wee hours on Tuesday, near about 6 a.m the above said employees were on routine duty in Bandipora area, when some miscreants, involved in sand theft attacked the team with heavy iron rods and other tools resulting in serious injuries to, at least half a dozen employees who were Immediately rushed to nearby hospital. SHO Bandipora Mir Saleem told Current News Service that a case, under FIR No 71/2019 U/S 307,353,332 RPC has been registered against eleven persons has been registered in police station Bandipora for the said alleged attack and investigation in connection of the case has been initiated.
SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik (IPS), while confirming the incident told CNS that police has already registered four cases against different persons among which six persons have been already been arrested and said that rest of the accused persons will be arrested soon. (CNS)
