Srinagar: BJP J&K UT General Secretary and Former MLC Vibodh Gupta today visited Srinagar and held an interaction with media persons. In this interaction Vivodh expressed his joy and satisfaction over the fact that yesterday Janmashtami was celebrated in various parts of Kashmir with religious fervour and gaiety. He said that the sight at the Janmashtmai procession at Lal Chowk Srinagar was a historic one as after a long time such a procession was held here. This he said is an indication of the changing atmosphere of Kashmir which represents true values and ethos of Kashmir.
While referring to the reduced incidences of militancy, Vibodh said that presently militancy is being dealt with an iron hand and is at its last stage. The common man in the valley has once again started looking at the bright future of their children. This will become possible only when the present peace initiatives will continue and will get further support from local communities here, Vibodh added. He also informed that the common man on the streets of Kashmir today is for development and for good education for his children. This he said became possible only because of hard work and vision of PM Modi, who always dreams of making J&K a model area of the country.
On vibrant and working Panchyati Raj institutions, Vibodh said that today BDC’s and DDC’s are working with full freedom in Jammu & Kashmir and are helping in addressing the local issues being faced by common man. This decentralization of power is critical for leading J&K on the path of growth and development. Throwing light on the recent visits of top leaders of the country to Kashmir, Vibodh said that this has given a loud and clear message that today the whole nation is standing behind the common citizen of Kashmir who wants to restore the lost glory of Kashmir during many decades of turmoil.
While concluding his remarks Vibodh said that today he has seen new hope and dreams in the eyes of youth of Kashmir. He called upon everyone that the present congenial atmosphere has been created after a lot of efforts and hard work and now it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure that this historic opportunity is used for growth and development and for proper education to our youth and children. This he said will go a long way in building a new and vibrant Kashmir which is in line with the wishes of people of Kashmir as per the vision of the central Government under the able leadership of PM Modi.
