Awantipora, May 12, : Among the cases registered against alleged violators of Covid-19 related lockdown on Wednesday, three persons are from the Police Department themselves posted at Security Wing of Kashmir.
Police sources said that three cops in civvies were on way from Anantnag to Srinagar to join duties when they were stopped on Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Awantipora by police for allegedly violating Covid-19 related lockdown.
The trio were booked and a formal FIR vide number 66/2021 under section 188, 269 and 270 was registered against them at police station Awantipora.
The trio have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed and Firdous Ahmed.
When contacted, a police official said that he is on leave and doesn’t know anything about it. (KNT)
