Budgam, May 9, : Police arrested duo for indulging into illegal soil cutting in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official said that both these persons were taking advantage of ongoing Covid related lockdown and were extracting soil illegally for land filling.
The official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that these two persons were arrested at Balpora village of Khansahab while a tipper (JKO2AK/7325) and a JCB were seized from their possession.
The arrested duo have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar of Gurweith Kalan village and Farooq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Debipora.
A formal case vide FIR number 80/2021 under section 188, 447, 379 was registered against the accused at police station Khansahab. (KNT)
