Ganderbal: The residents of Ganderbal town are left fuming with the non-adherence of their complaints about defunct Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of J&K bank. The locals alleged that bank authorities are not bothered to rectify the technical snags as a result people are facing the brunt.
The locals said that the ATM is lying defunct most of the times. “The matter has been brought into the notice authorities of J&K Bank Duderhama, but unfortunately, no action has been taken yet by the authorities,” they said.
“The bank authorities seem least bothered to rectify the technical snags as a result people are not able to withdraw the salary and other payments,” Qaiser Sofi a local trader said.
“We are unable to draw money from the ATM, as it remains defunct for most of the time,” Qaiser told, adding that people have to travel all the way to Aloosa from several remote areas of Duderhama to withdraw money from ATM there.
The locals here have urged higher authorities to improve the ATM service in the area so that they would heave a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, an official of J&K Bank said that “they are making efforts to restore the ATM at the earliest,”—(KNO)
