SRINAGAR: In the first Successful Final Match of JKFA BIG DOWNTOWN FOOTBALL FESTIVAL 2020 played at Islamia College Ground today , Sports Council Football Academy (SCFA) defeated Polo Ground XI by Three goals to One.
First half, both teams dominated from the start and tried to take the lead but it was Afreen Bashrat from SCFA Player who scored a fantastic goal from outside the box in first half & took one goal lead. Half line score was 1:0 goals in favour of SCFA.
In the second half Polo Ground XI team put in all their strength & attacked SCFA Goal & succeeded to level the score. SCFA Striker Touseef Ahmad scored the 2nd Goal for Team SCFA & Afreen Bashart Scored 3rd Goal for the winning Team and took the Man of The Match Award. Polo Ground XI attacked many attempts but SCFA stood the pressure and saved three to four attempts. Final score was SCFA 3 goals & Polo Ground XI one Goal. A huge gathering of Football Lovers & Spectators witnessed & enjoyed every movement of the game at Islamia College Ground.
During the presentation ceremony trophies and medals were awarded to teams as per their standings besides player of the match and player of the Tournament awards were also given to the players.
Among guests Mr. Sandeep Gupta (IPS) S.P City North, Mr Sheikh Aijaz Ahmad, Principal Islamia College, Prof. B.A Shah, Hony. General Secretary JKFA, Mr. Irfan Manhas Youth Developer Apni Part. Mr. Taseer Ahmad, SHO Nowhata, Mr. Farhan Jahzaid, SDPO, Mr. Abdul Majeed Kakroo, Former International Footballer & India Captain, Khursheed Ahmad Baba, Former International Footballer, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Kanth, Senior Member JKFA, Tariq Madani DFA Secretary, and other Official & Members of JKFA were present at the function and witnessed the match. They also distributed trophies, medals and various awards to the players and officials of the both Teams.
Total 32 teams participated in this Tournament.
The Tournament was organised by Downtown Football Community in collaboration with J&K Football Association. JKFA also thanks Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Mir, Gulzar Ahmad Mir & all the Organizers who made this Tournament Successful.
