Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest on the eve of hanging anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru on Friday.

Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik has called for shutdown tomorrow to protest the secretive hanging of Guru.
