Poonch, Oct 19 : A man was killed and four others injured after a landslide struck a road construction site in the Sawajian area of Jammu’s Poonch district on Monday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the incident occurred at Agan Pathri village in Sawajian when the man was engaged in a road construction project.
He said the man was struck by a stone and died on the spot, while four others sustained injuries.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Bashir (45), son of Ali Mohd, a resident of Danna Gagrian in Sawajian.
Meanwhile, cognisance of the incident has been taken and an investigation is underway.—(KNO)
