Schools Shut In Poonch Amid Inclement Weather, Rising Water Levels

Poonch, Sep 1 : Authorities have ordered closure of all schools in Poonch district on Tuesday as a precautionary measure in view of inclement weather.Chief Education Officer Poonch in an order, as per GNS said that in view of prevailing inclement weather conditions, heavy rainfall and rising water levels in rivers and nallahs, safety and security of students and staff is of paramount importance.Accordingly, all Government and Private Schools in District Poonch shall remain closed today as a precautionary measure, the order said.All concerned have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the order.(GNS)
