New Delhi — Social activist Gurlad Singh Kahlon, President of Guru Nanak Social Mission, an NGO working for humanitarian causes, and associated with “Koshish,” an initiative dedicated to promoting peace and harmony among communities, visited the Embassy of Iran in New Delhi along with Dr. Mushtaq, Dr. Abrar, Dr. Ishtiaq, and S. Supinder Singh Gill to express their deep condolences over the tragic death of children in an elementary school incident.

The delegation conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the leadership and people of Iran and expressed solidarity in this moment of grief. They stated that the loss of innocent children is a tragedy that shakes the conscience of humanity and transcends all boundaries of nationality, religion, or politics.
On this occasion, Gurlad Singh Kahlon presented a cheque of ₹5,00,000 (Five Lakh Rupees) to the Embassy of Iran as humanitarian assistance to support medicines, medical aid, and relief efforts for the affected children and families.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurlad Singh Kahlon said:
“Humanity is the greatest religion. Whenever innocent lives, especially children, are lost in such tragic circumstances, it becomes the duty of the entire world to stand with the victims and their families.”
He also highlighted that earlier he had actively worked with local Gurudwaras to assist tourists who were stranded after the Pahalgam attack, demonstrating the same spirit of humanitarian service and solidarity.
The delegation prayed for peace for the departed souls of the children and strength for their families to endure this immense loss, reiterating that compassion and humanity must always prevail in times of tragedy.
