Srinagar: Senior spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, Syed Tajmul, on wensday paid glowing tributes to the party’s District Development Council (DDC) members as their five-year tenure draws to a close, lauding their unwavering commitment to public welfare and grassroots democracy.
In a statement issued here, Tajmul said the outgoing DDC members consistently upheld the pro-people ethos of the party and served with dedication, courage, and integrity. He noted that their tenure was marked by bold advocacy on public issues, steadfast defense of people’s rights, and an unrelenting focus on development at the grassroots level.
“They stood firmly with the people in every circumstance. Whether it was raising pressing civic concerns, highlighting developmental gaps, or amplifying the voices of the unheard, our DDC members remained accessible, accountable, and action-oriented,” Tajmul said.
He emphasized that true leadership is measured not merely by the office one holds, but by the impact one creates. “The legacy of our DDC members will be reflected in the initiatives they championed, the transparency they upheld, and the trust they built among the people,” he added.
Tajmul further stated that despite numerous challenges, the members demonstrated remarkable patience and resilience, working tirelessly often beyond expectations to safeguard the interests of their respective constituencies.
As their term concludes, the PDP spokesperson extended his heartfelt gratitude to each member for their exemplary service and wished them continued strength and success in their future endeavors.“While this chapter formally closes, their commitment to public service will undoubtedly continue in new and meaningful ways,” he said
