Drone Recovered in Mendhar Village, Probe Underway’

Srinagar: Security agencies recovered a drone from a residential area in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district on Monday, officials said.

They told GNS that the Special Operations Group Mendhar received information about a drone lying on land owned by Mohammad Shafiq, son of Mehndi Khan, a resident of Gohled village. “Acting on the input, an SOG team rushed to the spot and recovered the drone.”

“The drone has been taken into custody for examination,” they said, adding “Security agencies have initiated further verification to ascertain its origin and purpose.”
