Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his congratulations to state universities and central institutions in J&K for their performance in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2025.
In a series of posts on X, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the efforts of these institutions, stating, “This is a commendable achievement and a testament to the transformative efforts to create world-class teaching and research institutions. I congratulate all universities and institutes for this remarkable accomplishment.”
As per the NIRF rankings, the University of Kashmir has secured the 34th position, and the University of Jammu the 51st position in the Universities category.
In the Agriculture & Allied Sectors category, SKUAST-Kashmir has achieved the 7th rank, while SKUAST-Jammu has secured the 23rd position.
In the State Public Universities category, the University of Kashmir has secured the 8th rank, and the University of Jammu has ranked 21st.
IIT Jammu, NIT Srinagar, and IIM Jammu have been placed among the top 100 institutes in the Engineering and Management categories, while SMVDU has earned a place in the top 25 in the Architecture category—(KNO)
