Youth Dies of Electric Shock While Repairing Wire in Budgam

Budgam: A tragic incident unfolded in they Daharmuna area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday as a local youth died due to electrocution while repairing an electric wire.

Sources told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Zahid Ahmad Paul, son of Ab Satar Paul, a resident of Daharmuna village.

Zahid came in contact with a live wire while attempting to fix an electrical fault, resulting in a fatal electric shock. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival, they said.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and further proceedings have been initiated. (JKNS)
