Srinagar: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi arrived in Kashmir on Friday to assess the security situation following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people, mostly tourists, dead.
Officials said as per Kashmir Bulletin he was accompanied by the Army Commander of Northern Command, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar.
General Dwivedi is being briefed by the 15 Corps Commander in Srinagar on ongoing counter-terror operations and Pakistan Army activities along the Line of Control (LoC), including any attempts to violate the ceasefire, Army officials said.(KB)
