Yet again girls outshine boys
Srinagar: With an overall pass percentage of 79.94 percent, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Wednesday declared the results of annual regular examinations of 10th standard.
The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that the girl students have yet again outshined boys.“Girls registered a total pass percentage of 81.24 percent while boys registered only 78.74 percent,” BOSE saidIn the exams, a total of 1,456,71 students were enrolled for class 10th session Annual Regular 2025 in the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh out of which 1,164,53 students qualified the exams.
It also said that at least 16,343 students qualified the exam with A1 grade, 18,678 students with A2 grade, 22,219 secured B1 grade, 27,171 got B2 grade, 25,583 secured C1 grade, 6432 C2 grade and 49 students have been placed in Grade-D.
The figures also reveal that in the exams, one student was having a disputed eligibility, three students were caught with unfair means, exam was cancelled of 40 students, five students were disqualified for two years and one student for three years.
The official had said that nearly 3,55,963 students were registered for the annual regular examination of class 10th, 11th and 12th including 1,32,992 candidates of 10th standard, 1,20,673 in 11th standard and 1,02,298 students of 12th standard respectively.
Pertinently, Education Minister Sakina Itoo had directed the BOSE and the concerned authorities to announce the results by April-30
Earlier the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) had said that the board will declare the results of 10th and 12th standard on the same date—(KNO)
