Jammu: Four children who got stranded while bathing in River Tawi near Peer Kho Temple were rescued safely by Police and SDRF personnel on Saturday.
Officials told GNS that the water level in the river rose suddenly while the children were bathing, putting them in danger. SDRF was alerted immediately.
SDPO City North, SHO Police Station Pacca Danga along with an SDRF team reached the spot promptly and rescued all four children.
Following the incident, SDPO City North made a public announcement advising people to stay away from river banks. Parents have also been urged to prevent children from going near the river, especially during sudden rise in water levels.(GNS)
