Leh : A total of 267 healthcare workers was inoculated against COVID-19 in Leh and Kargil districts of UT Ladakh today. 155 healthcare workers, including four doctors were given COVID-19 vaccine shots in Leh district at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Thiksey and Chuchot, whereas 112 healthcare workers were inoculated against COVID-19 in Kargil district at AD Trespone and PHC Batalik.
Councillor Thiksey, Stanzin Chospel, inaugurated the COVID-19 vaccination drive at PHC Thiksey in the presence of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Leh, Dr Motup Dorje; Deputy CMO, Dr Manzoor ul Haq and District Immunisation Officer, Dr Tashi Namgial.
Similarly, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Leh, Dr Tsewang Chorol, inaugurated the vaccination drive at PHC Chuchot in the presence of Dr Jamila Parveen, Medical Officer, PHC Chuchot; para-medical staff and other doctors.
Meanwhile, Executive Councillor (Rural Development), LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syeed Hassan Arman inaugurated the COVID-19 vaccination session at Allopathic Dispensary (AD), Trespone. The session at PHC Batalik was inaugurated by Tehsildar, Kargil, Mohammad Salim Wazir.
