24-year-old youth found hanging in Lolab forest

Kupwara, Sep 02 : A 24-year-old youth was found hanging in a forest area in Darpora, Lolab, in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth, who lived in the vicinity of the forest, was found hanging in the Darpora area of Lolab.The official added that the initial probe suggests that the youth was mentally unsound and had allegedly hanged himself in the forest area.The youth was later identified as Showkat Ahmad Peer (24), son of Nizam Din Peer, a resident of Astanbuth, Darpora Lolab.Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further details are awaited.—(KNO)
