Handwara: The Civil Society Handwara, in collaboration with the Traders Federation Handwara and several other local groups, on Tuesday organized a peaceful protest at Main Chowk Handwara to condemn the recent attack near the Red Fort in Delhi.
People from various walks of life, including traders, social activists, and community leaders, joined the protest to denounce the act of violence and express deep sorrow over the killing of innocent people. Participants carried placards promoting peace and unity and raised slogans calling for an end to violence in all its forms.
Leaders from the Civil Society and the Traders Federation highlighted the importance of national solidarity and communal harmony during difficult times. They urged the government to take firm and swift action against those responsible for the incident and to strengthen preventive mechanisms to ensure such tragedies do not recur.
The peaceful gathering concluded with a collective pledge to stand united as a nation against hatred, intolerance, and violence, reaffirming Handwara’s long-standing tradition of harmony and brotherhood. [KNT]
